You may have noticed it has been a while since my last blog post! Which is down to being very busy both work wise and personally. So this blog is all about letting you know of the recent goings on at Lindsey Arber Photography.
So last summer was a busy one with lots of beautiful weddings, a very busy studio and all whilst being pregnant with baby Finley. He is turning 6 months as of next Friday (where did that time go?!). At the end of 2017 over the Christmas break, I made the decision to close the studio and focus on the wedding photography side of the business. The studio side of Lindsey Arber Photography was going really well and proving popular however I realised I just wouldn’t be able to meet the demand anymore. My decision to focus on weddings meant I could have a better balance of being a mum but could also carry on doing what I love in photographing lots more weddings!
Finley made his appearance in February of this year and is just amazing! My first wedding of the year was when he was just 7 weeks old and I am so glad I got straight back in to it. My lovely bride and groom of this particular wedding actually invited him along to the day to make it that bit easier which was so thoughtful of them. Luckily he was really well behaved and had a chilled day taking it all in…and mostly sleeping!
I’d decided to keep 2018 a bit quieter on the wedding bookings front as I knew I would still be getting in to the swing of having Finley around. I have still been lucky enough to have some truly beautiful weddings with couples who have made me and my second shooters feel so welcome. I have lots of photos to share from each of the weddings so far, so keep an eye on our social media platforms for updates of our recent work.
2018 has also seen an update to the website which I hope you all like! It is an ongoing task as and when time allows. These decisions always take time but its something that I like to try and perfect whenever a new idea comes to mind, so hopefully worth the wait. What with now focusing on wedding photography, I felt a new logo was needed to better represent where the brand of Lindsey Arber Photography was heading moving forward. As you can see its all about the greys and rose golds. Keeping things simple and elegant to show you are choosing a high end service when booking with us for your wedding photography.
Its exciting to see what the remainder of this years weddings have in store for us, as well as our 2019 & 2020 weddings which are filling up nicely.
One thing I do keep getting asked about are my Autumn Mini Sessions. These have proven very popular for family portraits over the last few years so I will continue to offer these. The clue is in the name that these take place in the Autumn and I will be sharing details of dates and prices very soon for all of you who have been wondering.
I would love it if you did continue to follow us and to keep up to date with our latest work. If you know of anyone getting married who is yet to book their wedding photographer, then why not put us in touch. x

I can’t wait to be back at Keythorpe Manor tomorrow with our lovely bride & groom to be, Katherine and Ed!
We met up for their pre shoot at the start of the month, which gave us a great chance to explore the grounds as it was my first time at Keythorpe Manor. As soon as your enter the grounds you are spoilt for choice on where to take photos. The beautiful manor itself provides a lovely backdrop, or the many winding paths through the grounds, and all of this is surrounded by countryside.
Elmo also joined us for some photos, and all though he was a little excited as it was also his first time at Keythorpe, he was amazing in front of the camera!
So tomorrow we will be recreating some of these photos of the newlyweds and I can’t wait to see how the photos on the swing turn out with the bride and groom in a gown and suit!

I recently got to meet up with Amy & Jake again as it was time for their pre wedding shoot, with their wedding only a few weeks away! So off we headed to the beautiful Bassmead Manor Barns to take at look around their chosen venue, discuss last minute details ahead of their big day and to take some photos around the grounds to show the type of photos we could get on the day itself.
We were spoilt for choice for photo opportunities with the tree lined drive leading to the venue, the surrounding landscape of fields as far as the eye could see, and the barn yards surrounded by the stream.
On top of all these options for the photos, we also had the sun shining to finish it all off. I can’t wait to get back to the barns and to recreate some of these with soon to be newlyweds. Here are my favourites for you to take a look through….

Rob & Hannah’s Spring Pre-Wedding Shoot took place on Easter Sunday at the stunning venue of Brownsover Hall Hotel, Old Brownsover, Rugby.
This was a new venue for me and from what I had seen on the website, I couldn’t wait to look around. Located on the edge of Rugby, the Grade II Victorian Gothic mansion is surrounded by 7 acres of woodland and gardens which keep the hall a hidden gem.
As you turn off the country road and in to the entrance of the hall you are greeted with a canopy of trees leading you towards the entrance. With walled gardens to cobbled courtyards and forest walks there are so many photo opportunities. After a wonder around the grounds it was time to meet Rob and Hannah to discuss timings and plans for their wedding day. With a log fire crackling in the background it made the hall very inviting and cosy despite the high ceilings and victorian gothic features.
Once we had talked everything through it was back out side to take some photos of the couple. It was a bit chilly but this was nothing to complain about as the forecast leading to the day had warned of rain all day! Luckily the sun made an appearance and stayed for the duration! It really does add to the shots, highlighting areas of the building and shining through sections of the trees.
Shooting with a mixture of the Canon 24-70mm and 70-200mm lenses I wanted to show the beautiful surrounds but also get some shots focusing closer on the couple.
I am now really looking forward to Rob and Hannah’s big day where we will get to recreate some of these photo’s with the groom suited and booted and the bride in her beautiful wedding gown.
Pre-Wedding Shoots are a great way to run through any photo ideas ahead of your big day. It is also a chance for me to see how you are in front of the camera, what your comfortable with and what comes naturally to you. If you or your partner are feeling nervous at the thought of having your photo taken it will help with nerves as you will see I work in a relaxed way.
Pre-Wedding Shoots are included in all of my Wedding Photography packages but are still optional.
